The summit will be offlcially hosted and opened by Dr. Hilmi Guler, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. The summit will take place with significant contrlbution from Turkish State Petroleum company TPAO and Turkey's Pipeline company BOTAŞ, Turkish Association of Petroıeum Geologists (TPJD) and the Chamber of Geophysical Engineers. Turkey Buys Natural Gas From Egypt As of The Beginning of 2008 With an agreement signed, Turkey, striving to bring variety to the sources of energy offer, will begin buying Egyptian natural gas in 2008. According to the agreement signed between Energy Minister Hilmi Guler and Egyptian Oil Minister Sameh Fahmey, Egypt and Botaş, will establish a company called Tergas with a 50-50 partnership. This company will transfer noturol gas, build pipelines, and market Egyptian gas to Europe. Anadolu AŞ Awarded the Tokat-Amasya Natural Gas Tender The Amasya Natural Gas Distribution License Tender, was held on February 1 O, 2006. 9 out of 21 qualified companies participated in the tender. Three companies, namely,Anadolu Doğal Gaz Dağıtım A.Ş. 0.009 cents/kWh; Tamgaz Tokat Amasya Merzifon Doğal Gaz Dağitim Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş. 0.039 cents/kWh and Peker inşaat, Ticaret ve Sanayi AŞ. 0.049 cents/kWh offered the lowest prices, and after the lowest possible zero service fee price was received, the tender continued with an underbidding session forthe subscription fees starting at USD 180, and Anadolu Doğalgaz Dağıtım Aş cut the price to USD 163, and was awarded the tender.
