The goal for Kayseri is l 00 thousand customers We were briefed by Gürsel Yağan, Assistant General Manager of HSV Kayseri Doğal Gaz A.Ş, which won the natural gas dlstribullon contract in Kayseri, about the works in progress in the clty. Yağan, who states all of thelr work Is monitored in detoil onllne. announces the natural gas network that wlll deliver gas to 1 70,000 residences will be completed in 2006. Yağan continues to teli about lhe compıehensive and detailed work that they have started in order to provlde customer service and build a distributlon network after receMng the ııcense todistribute in Kayseri. The construction ot 20. 75 km of steeı, 2 1 O km of PE distributlon and 70 km of PE service plpelines are planned fer this year in Kayseri. Ten new regulators will be put in service and 7,500 service boxes will be installed. A total ot 82. 95 km ot steel, 522 km of PE dlstribution and 218 km of PE service plpeline will be laid by yea(s end. Dergaz has completedthe installalion of 7,550 service boxes while laying down 37,800 meters ot steel and 188,500 meters of PE pipelines. The number ot customers we can reach after this work is 38,600. Our goal Is to deliver gas to 60,000 customers in 2006. After stating they have introduced contemporary, economical and lnexpenslve natura! gas as a fueı to Ereğli in December 27th, 2005, Doğan says they w i ll complete %65 ot thelr work by the endof2006. News From Turkey Güler: "Private sector must make the new energy investments" Hilmi Güler, Mlnlster of Energy and Natural Resources said that there Is a requlrement of 4 to 5 billion US Dollars of lnvestment in the comlng periods, and that they would prefer the private sectorto make the new lnvestments. Güler sald that they may epen tenders far the constructıon of plants E and F. and that deciding who will make the plants, they will take into accountwhich campany can start produclng eıectricfyearlierand cheaper.
