Thus, Aksa shall not charge any profit rate for naturaı gas distribution in Çukurova, and has offered a 13 USD discount in the l 80 USD subscription fee. The Energy Market Regulatory Board (EPDK) held the Çukurova Natural Gas Distribution License Tender. EPDK President Yusuf Günay gave a speech before the tender, and stated that in terms of economic magnitude, this was Turkey's biggest natural gas distribution license tender, and said ''The tender shall cover 4 cities, namely Adana, Mersin, Hayat and Osmaniye, and 14 towns. We have a population of close to one million in the region. The industrial clients are consuming l ,300,000 cubic meters of natural gas per year". Günay stated that the EPDK made an approval decision for the three new refineries in the Yumurtalık Region with an annual capacity of processing 35 million tons of crude oil, and where the total investment reached l 5 billion dollars, and he said that the company that is warded the tender will serve tor 30 years. Günay expressed that they have held 55 natural gas tenders until the present for 6 l cities and that 50 of the tenders have been concluded.
