Gas Occupational Standards Workshop has been organized ----·---------28 Natural Gas Occupational Standards Workshop organized by GAZBİR and UGETAM, was held in Kayseri between 09-11 April 2009. During the workshop, participated in by officials from GAZMER, UGETAM, MYK, EPDK, DOSİDER, BACADER, Chamber of Technicians of Natural Gas and HAVAC Systems, and officials from gas distribution companies, the standards set tor 9 occupational categories in the natural gas sector were reviewed and finalized. lnternational Natura! Gas Symposium from İGDAŞ------ 38 During the symposium to be held under the name INGAS 2009, in addition to institutions and officials from the natural gas sectors in USA, UK, France, Germany, ltaly, Spain, Canada, Belgium, Austria, China, Japan, ıran, lndia, Qatar, Bosnia Herzegovina, important officials from leading institutions of the sector like The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Energy Markets Regulatory Board, BOTAŞ and TAPO will be participating in the event. in addition to that, from Turkey, various gas distribution companies, universities and NGOs will be participating in this organization. Fossil Fuels should be combined with Renewable Energy Sources-------------------- 40 We talked with Dr. Celalettin ÇELİK, General Manager of Viessmann, about the important agenda items of the sector. Çelik emphasizes that the most economical and practical solution tor high efficiency and sustainable environmental conditions, is stili the condensation technique and says "Here, one should pay attention to the device design and material choice of the manufacturer. You can't the performance you want with the semi-condensation devices. Full-condensation boilers and heaters operate with an efficiency rate of up to 9899% depending on the upper thermal value of the fuel and the installation technique used".
